I LOVE SWIMMING.. oopps!! Tanning..

Hello everyone!

It was quite difficult to decide the topic for my first blog but SUMMER is definitely on my mind. When talking about summer all i think of is Splish, Splash, Sploom! Taking a dip in a pool of cold water, but making a splash can show its effects on your skin and hair if you do not take ample care before and after your swim.

While swimming is on your mind, also in the back of your head you might be worried about the coming “Tan”. Well, not anymore as all you need to do is take care of some teeny-tiny things & Prevent tanning as well as other skin problems.

  • Make sure you always shower before and after you hit the pool
  • Use waterproof sunscreen prior to swimming.
  • Keep yourself hydrated. Drink atleast 2 glasses of water before swimming to maintain natural moisture of the skin
  • Wear eye/ear gears and shower caps as it protects against fungal infections by chlorinated water

Dear mermaid, worry not if you’re already tanned, desperate to remove it and are cluttered with the monthly budget, here are some easy home remedies which you can try at no cost.

  1. Papaya and Honey Face Mask
Take a slice of Papaya and blend it with some Honey, make a paste and apply! Wash it off after 15-20min with cold water and moisturize.
  2. Potato and Lemon Face-mask-
Mix Potato juice with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply and wash with cold water after 30-40 mins after it dries. Moisturize!
  3. Wheat Flour Face-mask-
Mix 2 tablespoon of wheat flour with water and make a paste (not too thick). Let it dry and wash after 15 mins with cold water. Moisturize!
  4. Besan(Bengal Gram flour) and Turmeric Face-mask-
Mix 2 tablespoon besan with a pinch of turmeric, 1 tablespoon of milk and crushed orange peel each. Add some rose water to make a paste. Apply for 20 mins, scrub and wash.
  5. Cucumber, Rose Water and Lemon Juice pack-
Take 1 tablespoon of cucumber juice, lemon juice and rose water each. Apply using a cotton on tanned area. Wait for 10 mins and wash. Moisturize!

I love swimming not only because its fun but also its a great exercise for muscle building & toning. So here i am posting some of my pictures where i am killing this heat, taking a chill pill, not worrying about the tan in the beautiful pool of The Lalit Hotel, Jaipur, wearing a black Monokini from Iconic, Dubai making me look sexy, sultry, classy and chic at the same time….
